With the 2026 Life History Research Society Meeting 2026 just one year away, we are planning to open abstract submissions very soon. We are pleased to inform you that this year, the submission process will occur in two phases:

Early submissions – uniquely for participants requiring extended visa processing – will open June 1^st, 2025, and close June 30^th, 2025. An acceptance letter will be sent in early July.

Regular submissions will open in September 2025 and close in December 2025.

We are accepting abstracts for symposium, individual presentations, brief talks, and poster presentations on developmental and longitudinal research projects investigating human development. Please note that only a portion of the available presentation slots have been reserved for abstracts submitted during the Early Submission phase.

è con grande piacere che vi invitiamo a partecipare al workshop inTRACE: The Intracranial Connections between Clinics and Neuroscience, che si terrà a Parma, presso l'Auditorium Green Life Crédit Agricole, dal 1 al 4 aprile 2025. L'evento è organizzato dall'Istituto di Neuroscienze del CNR e dall’Università di Milano nell'ambito del progetto EBRAINS-Italy.

Il workshop intende affrontare il contributo fondamentale delle registrazioni intracerebrali nell'uomo alla ricerca in neuroscienze . L'obiettivo principale è esplorare e favorire la circolarità tra clinica e ricerca, due mondi che spesso procedono su binari paralleli ma che, se connessi in modo efficace, possono migliorarsi reciprocamente a vantaggio della ricerca e dei pazienti di domani.

Ogni sessione sarà organizzata secondo il concetto di circolarità:

· Lectures tenute da scienziati di fama internazionale

· Simposi con giovani ricercatori

· Intervento conclusivo di un clinico, seguito da una discussione aperta per individuare strategie concrete di integrazione tra clinica e ricerca;

Il programma, in allegato, include un ricco panel di speaker internazionali e momenti di discussione e confronto.

Registrazione e Fee di Partecipazione
Per favorire la partecipazione di giovani ricercatori e specializzandi, la quota di iscrizione è stata volutamente mantenuta accessibile:

· Early registration (fino al 28 febbraio): 120€

· Standard registration (dal 1 marzo): 200€

Dear all,

after the wonderful online edition of the last year, we are pleased to announce that the fourth Body Representation Network (BRNet) workshop is due to take place in Sion, Switzerland on Friday 9th September 2022, Campus Energypolis.

The title of the workshop is “The pathological body: the perception and experience of the body in diseases” and will host two keynote speakers: Prof. Francesca Frassinetti, neurologist and neuroscientist (University of Bologna, IT), and Prof. Silvestro Micera, Head of the Translational Neural Engineering Laboratory at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL, CH).

To promote the participation of students and of young scientists, short oral presentations and posters are planned. These contributions will be selected based on the scientific values and clinical relevance of the submitted abstracts.

To fall under the aim and scope of the present meeting, the abstract should deal with body-related topics being potentially interesting for pathological studies, even if the work does not necessarily include patients as participants. The call for abstracts will be open until the 10^th of July on the website (https://bodyrepresentation.wixsite.com/brnet/brnet-abstract-submission).

Attendance at the workshop is free, but the registration is mandatory (https://bodyrepresentation.wixsite.com/brnet/brnet-abstract-submission).

Thanks to the kind support of the Swiss National Science Foundation and the HES SO International Office MOVE, there are fellowships to support travel costs: 100 CHF (about 100 euro) for each poster presenter coming from outside Switzerland, and up to 600 CHF for the speakers of the oral presentation. Moreover, The Sense Research and Innovation Center will award the 4 best contributions with a prize of 250 CHF for each selected work.

Registration, lunch and coffee breaks are free of charge for all participants.

Informiamo tutti gli interessati che come per gli anni passati anche quest'anno si svolgerà il Corso Residenziale di EEG e Tecniche Correlate, organizzato dal Dipartimento di Medicina Clinica e Sperimentale in collaborazione con la SINC e l’AITN, aperto sia ai medici che ai tecnici.

Il Corso, giunto alla XIX Edizione che avrebbe dovuto svolgersi nel 2020 ma rinviato causa Pandemia Covid, si terrà come in precedenza a Tirrenia, vicino a Pisa, dal 25 al 30 Ottobre 2021 presso il Grand Hotel Continental.

Si tratta di un appuntamento formativo e di aggiornamento ormai classico per le neuroscienze, la psicofisiologia e la neurofisiopatologia, occasione per acquisire crediti formativi (sono stati sempre concessi crediti massimi per iniziative del genere, 50 che sono quelli richiesti annualmente, e quindi sono un’occasione per chi ne ha necessità).

In occasione della Settimana Mondiale del Cervello, la Fondazione Mondino di Pavia, organizza una video conferenza domani 16 marzo dalle ore 14.30 alle ore 17.30, sul tema del linguaggio nelle patologie neurodegenerative.

La presenza di disturbi di linguaggio è stata ampiamente indagata nei soggetti affetti da Afasia Primaria Progressiva, pure se difficoltà in compiti linguistici possono essere presenti anche in altre patologie. In tali condizioni cliniche, il profilo linguistico e i rispettivi correlati neurali non sono stati ancora pienamente caratterizzati rimanendo in molti casi inesplorati. Le recenti innovazioni nel campo delle neuroscienze cognitive hanno portato a nuove metodiche di analisi e integrazione di dati provenienti da molteplici sorgenti, offrendo una prospettiva unica per indagare fenomeni complessi quali il linguaggio. Dati questi presupposti, il Workshop ha lo scopo di aggiornare le conoscenze sui disturbi del linguaggio nelle patologie neurodegenerative, sia per quanto riguarda gli aspetti diagnostici che le possibilità riabilitative, per caratterizzare il profilo linguistico integrando informazioni provenienti da differenti sorgenti (dati comportamentali e cognitivi, di neuroimmagine e computazionali) tramite un approccio multidisciplinare.

Due to the well-known issues related to the pandemic, this time the Symposium will be held online in a single day on Monday afternoon of January 25^th 2021, starting a 3 p.m.

Instead of having the usual program, we will be streaming the testimonies of eminent and younger scholars of cognitive neuropsychology and neuroscience.

This people will provide memories and memorabilia on when and how they fell in love with the cognitive neuropsychology, how they became passionate about Bressanone and on what future they foresee for our discipline.

During the same event we will award two young scientists with the EWCN Prize for best abstracts and listen to the presentation of these young Authors. As usual the Prize will be worth the junior registration fee.

Simple and easy, this EWCN extravaganza will serve us to keep our conference together and plan the next edition for 2022 when hopefully we will reconvene in Bressanone for our beloved event.

So, please tune in and register for this unique online event. The admittance is free, but there will be a limited number of virtual seats and priority will be given to those who submit an abstract and to those who register first.

All abstracts will be published on our website in their printed form and as a video, for those willing to present their work live or at least as a video-stream.

We hope to see you all online on the 25th January and to receive your abstracts very soon.

The Harvard Summer Program in Mind/Brain Sciences is an initiative of the Harvard Mind/Brain/Behavior (MBB) Interfaculty Initiative and the Harvard Summer School in collaboration with the University of Trento.

This eight-week program enrolls American and Italian students and provides a unique opportunity to study neuroscience at the Center of Mind/Brain Science (CIMeC), University of Trento.

Taught by faculty from Harvard, Harvard Medical School and University of Trento the courses include lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions (e.g., neuroimaging demonstrations and practical sessions in the CIMeC laboratories).

In addition to courses, Students have the opportunity to learn about cognitive science research by participating in experiments and by discovering several different methodologies for analyzing the mind, brain and behavior.

In addition to coursework and research, students take advantage of their surroundings with field trips and excursions throughout Italy.
